Want to make your toothbrush more environmentally friendly, but are not a fan of the feel of a bamboo toothbrush in your mouth?
Then try our new toothbrush with shaft in 100% bioplastic. It is the closest we get to the traditional plastic toothbrush. Just without plastic!
The whole idea behind the toothbrush is to make a more sustainable alternative that you can use for a longer period of time, while not throwing away nearly as much plastic. You can just change the brush head and not the whole toothbrush.
The toothbrush is made on a base of 70% organic castor oil, which is a renewable source. The bristles are made of 100% nylon. Of course, it would have been optimal if the bristles could also be made of plant fibers, instead of nylon. For nylon is plastic. Nylon is actually one of the most durable types of plastic available, which is why they are used for toothbrush hair. There is a lot of wear and tear on a toothbrush every day, so the hair must be strong. An equally durable fiber of 100% plants simply does not exist yet. But we look forward to the day it comes!
When the toothbrush head needs to be replaced, it is easy to buy new heads and replace them. By only replacing the head, and not the entire toothbrush, we minimize the waste from plastic toothbrushes by 1/8 in a year.
The toothbrush comes in Soft and Medium and in several different colors.
